Summary
Manages daily Human Resources operations, including but not limited to: HRIS (Dayforce), payroll including Trustee compensation, benefits, employee lifecycle (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and/or separation), performance management, and regulatory compliance. Works with management team to develop and implement Human Resources strategies and objectives in support of and contribute to achieving the Bank’s business goals.
- HRIS – Dayforce: manages and maintains employee information file system, data input, employee/manager information access, introduction of new features, utilization of automation processes, etc., including but not limited to: payroll (earnings, deductions, TAFW, multi-state tax and insurance issues, Trustee compensation, etc.), employee benefits, 401(k), pension, annual open enrollment, etc.), scheduling, timekeeping, performance management, and regulatory reporting.
- Encourages Bank employees to utilize the Dayforce and Eagle Source system resources (online help/training functions, user guides, etc.) available for self-learning purposes prior to contacting HR for support.
- Works with supervisors and managers to resolve scheduling and time punch errors/warnings that preclude payroll from being processed accurately and in a timely manner, including following up the hierarchy as necessary/required.
- Manages the ongoing maintenance and storage of confidential electronic employee file documentation, converting paper to electronic format in every possible instance.
- Manages staff recruitment/onboarding/separation processes, including but not limited to: ensures application packages are complete and up-to-date, provides (for) supervisor/manager interview training for regulatory compliance, conducts pre-screening telephone interviews as requested and appropriate, administers reference, credit and background checks on potential candidates, reviews results to determine if any further action is necessary (ex: additional information required, adverse action letters, etc.), coordinates new employee onboarding process with other departments and conducts new employee HR orientation to ensure effective and efficient assimilation into the organization and corporate culture.
- Reviews and reconciles all monthly, quarterly and annual insurance and benefit reports/invoices for accuracy in a timely manner prior to presenting for approval and submission for payment.
- Prepares for and assists auditors and examiners, etc. with audits and regulatory exams.
- Manages Bank-wide employee performance management process, including functioning as the primary liaison with the Bank’s HR consulting firm, OneDigital. Provides policy interpretation to/for management and employees and supports efforts to ensure performance evaluations are accurate, inclusive, thorough, and timely including periodic random sampling.
- Works closely with HR consulting firm on employee relations and ensures Employee Handbook remains current and complies with State and Federal regulations, ensures that all employee relations policies align with and support the Bank’s corporate goals, makes well-informed recommendations for changes/enhancements, reviews Handbook prior to bi-annual presentation for Board approval.
- Maintains awareness of general employee feedback, issues, and concerns, and recommends solutions to management and HR Consultant to improve/enhance morale and maintain a positive work environment.
- Provides input for the Bank’s annual salary and benefits budget, develops and monitors HR department annual budget, and participates in the salary administration process.
- Maintains and ensures business resumption, Vendor Management and NPI databases as they relate to HR are kept up-to-date.
- Serves as Wellness Coordinator, including but not limited to: develops and manages budget, develops, plans, and participates in Wellness Program events, distributes relevant materials, develops, implements and monitors employee campaigns to promote a healthy lifestyle or participation in fitness and wellness programs.
Position Specific Requirements
- Proficient and proven working knowledge/experience as Dayforce system administrator required.
- Minimum five years’ multi-function HR experience required; 7+ preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration; SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Ability to regularly handle/work with/orchestrate sensitive, confidential information required.
- Ability to approach personnel challenges in a supportive and creative manner; must be able to remain objective.
- Time management, interpersonal, organizational, planning, follow-through, verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, stress and/or unexpected events.
- Proficient use of computers and technology required (i.e. Internet, PCs, tablets, smartphones, MS Office, etc.).
